Series Editor - Dennis and Gnasher: Unleashed (CBBC)

  • Using Adobe Premiere to assemble and fine cut 52x 10 minute episodes

  • Managing audio: using a walla and temp sound effects library
    Keeping track of pick-ups and adding temporary scratch dialogue

  • Liaising with the director

  • Publishing shot durations and audio through in-house tools, to Shotgun

  • Conforming the edit with the latest animation, lighting and comp updates

  • Track-laying episodes for mix and preparing episodes to be sent to the offline facility. Archiving episodes and restoring data when necessary.

  • Mentoring the assistant editor

  • Setting up shows to be integrated into the DNEG pipeline; dealing with colour-space and video formats

  • Processing turnover and keeping edits up to date in Adobe Premiere

  • Using shotgun to track and update VFX shot information

  • Liaising with the client side VFX editor

  • Preparing and running dailies sessions and reviews with the client

  • Acting as a point of contact for internal production and artists

  • Creating and checking final full-resolution shots to deliver to the online

Assistant Editor - Cbeebies’ ‘Bitz & Bob'

  • Using Adobe Premiere to create animatic assemblies of 44 x 10 minute episodes. Addressing client feedback and publishing locked episodes to Shotgun.

  • Keeping episodes updated with the latest animation batches.

  • Maintaining shot databases through Shotgun, updating asset tags and creating character counts

  • Building a large walla library from raw takes sent from the recording studio.

  • Track-laying episodes for mix and preparing episodes to be sent to the offline facility. Archiving episodes and restoring data when necessary.

  • Covering the work of the Series Editor when away.
